CIPS – FIPSed
Confederation Internationale de la Peche Sportive (CIPS) are the international body responsible for competition sports fishing for all forms of fishing including ; Sea Fishing , Freshwater Fishing and Fly Fishing. Federation Internale De La Peche Sportive en Eau Douche (FIPSed) are the federation responsible for all forms of freshwater fishing which includes coarse angling , carp fishing and many other forms of fishing.
FIPSed have a yearly competition calendar and organize freshwater world angling championship events around the world.
The AFCAA are the Australian representative for freshwater competition fishing and as such we are responsible for the coordination and participation of Australian teams for world championship events. Since 1987, Australia has regularly attended and participated in FIPS-ed world championship events.

NZFOCA
The New Zealand Federation of Coarse Anglers (NZFOCA) are our sister organization in New Zealand.
NZFOCA run a number of events around New Zealand and have a number of Coarse Fishing Clubs located in Auckland , Wellington and Christchurch.
The AFCAA and NZFOCA have for over thirty years held an annual event that is called the Trans-Tasman.
This event alternates between Australia and New Zealand and over the years has generated great camaraderie amongst the participates.
